What Is the Point?

Sometimes I think about the fact that one day I will die.

One day, everything I have built will be gone. My accomplishments, my possessions, my career, and even this company will eventually fade away.

The truth is that every business will one day close its doors. Every brand will eventually disappear. Every human being who has ever lived has faced the same reality.

So why try?

Why build a company knowing it won't last forever?

The answer is simple.

Waymark Co was never created to make a name for itself.

It was created to point people to the only Name that will never fade away.

There is One who will be remembered long after every company, nation, and earthly achievement has disappeared. There is One whose kingdom will never end and whose name will never be forgotten.

His name is Jesus Christ.

This company exists because of Him.

Every design, every message, every blog post, and every product is created with one purpose: to point people toward Christ.

The world teaches us to build our own kingdoms. Scripture teaches us to seek God's kingdom first.

The world tells us to make our names known. The Bible tells us that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If Waymark Co succeeds, it will be because of Him.

If Waymark Co fails, He is still worthy of praise. 

Because at the end of the day, the mission remains the same.

Point people to Christ.

My life will end one day.

This company will end one day.

But Jesus Christ is forever.

And whoever has Him has already won—not only in this life, but in the life to come.
